Our gambrel barns get their name from their distinctive gambrel-style roof. The original purpose for this traditional design was to give a barn as much “upstairs” storage space as possible, and of course it’s perfect for laying in a big supply of hay.
Gambrels aren’t just for barns anymore, though. More and more people are choosing this style for their cabins and homes – and many of them are using that space up above as a cozy loft.
