Slope Carport Shipping Information
Absolute Steel offers borderless
delivery to the nearest freight
terminal to the zip code you furnish
with. This is included in the
price of your carport. For shipping
to locations west of the Mississippi
River, shipping is free. However,
for delivery to jobsites east
of the Mississippi, a $95 surcharge
will be added.
Jobsite delivery (out of AZ)
is available to most addresses
for an extra charge of $85. Arizona
jobsite deliveries are available
only on an exact “per quote
basis”.
It is not recommended to request
jobsite delivery of this product
unless you have a forklift (with
fork extensions) on site. This
carport kit is 10’8”
long and weighs approximately
800 lbs.

Picking up your kit at the terminal
is the easiest way to go. The
terminal has a forklift on-site
and can easily load it into the
back of a regular sized pickup
with the tailgate down or onto
a short flatbed trailer if you
have access to one of those. In
either event, bring a couple of
ratchet tie-down straps.
The freight carrier will be
furnished with your telephone
so they will call you upon arrival
of the package at the freight
terminal. As well, we will contact
you when the kit ships so that
you’ll have a “head’s
up” as to when to expect
the freight terminal’s phone
call. When we call you, you will
be furnished with the Freight
Bill # so you can track the shipment
via the Internet.
On rare occasions it sometimes
happens that the carport kit may
have some shipping damage when
it arrives or in rare cases, you
can tell when you pick it up that
there might be some missing parts.
(Steel banding is loose or broken)
If that occurs or is noticed by
you, please note that in your
handwriting on the Shipping Form
they will request that you sign.
If you can take a digital picture
or two, that’s great, do
it!
Please fax, e-mail or mail a
copy of that form to us and we
will arrange for any parts you
need to be shipped out ASAP. We
will then settle any claims with
the freight carrier.
As we said, this happens very
seldom: our parts are just impossible
to destroy or damage, we have
years worth of packing experience
and we use only the two most reputable
carriers in the business: FedEx
Freight and/or Saia Freight.
